How the cycle works
A steady rhythm for IES answer writing.
This package follows EcoNiti's nine-day topic cycle from topic kickoff to model answers. Writing days have clear upload cutoffs, only the Day 7 topic test is evaluated in the regular cycle, and the complete test calendar is in the brochure.
What you should know before starting
- Daily questions open at 6:00 am IST on the scheduled day.
- Uploads close at midnight: 12:00 am IST as the date changes to the next day.
- Submit exactly one combined PDF answer script, under 5 MB.
- Model answers are shared on Day 9 of the cycle. Evaluated Day 7 scripts are released with them.
Day 2
Keyword recognition
Work through your notes, identify must-include points for likely PYQs, then test recall without notes.
Days 3-4
Untimed, open-book writing
Write PYQ-based and PYQ-informed answers with full resources. Questions open at 6:00 am IST, uploads close at midnight, and the questions remain viewable until Day 9.
Day 5
Timed writing and submission
Closed-book writing under exam conditions. Upload one PDF by midnight, 12:00 am IST. This builds discipline, but is not scheduled for evaluation in the regular topic cycle.
Day 6
Discussion
Live walkthrough of the topic's PYQs and what a strong answer should look like.
Day 7
Evaluated topic test
A timed topic test. Submit one PDF by midnight, 12:00 am IST. Submitted scripts go for evaluation and are released with the handwritten model answer on Day 9.
Day 8
Gap day
A grading day for evaluators and a rest day for you. There is no new writing obligation.
Day 9
Feedback and model answers
Model answers are shared for the cycle. Evaluated Day 7 scripts are released here once the course team publishes them.
